Hold Sitar by right elbow. Press enough so that left hand is free to move up and down
Wear Mijrab (Plucker) in right index finger
Place left thumb behind neck & Press exreme right wire on fret (just behind), to make metal to metal contact
Place right thumb at the joint & Pluck wire with mijrab towards you (Da) and away from you (Ra)
